Microblading Aftercare Instructions

MICROBLADING

Microblading aftercare instructionsMicroblading is a new, revolutionary, semi permanent eyebrow procedure. It is performed by implanting pigment under the epidermis of the skin manually. This technique is done by pulling or swiping a manual pen and very fine blades across the skin to create one by one fine hair strokes.

HISTORY OF MICROBLADING

Microblading technique originated in China 25 years ago, then spread all over Asia. This technique first became very popular in countries like Singapore, Japan and Korea by early 2005. In each Asian country Microblading carried different names; such as “feather tattoo” in China, “microstroking” in Japan and “eyebrow hand embroidery” in Korea. It spread all over Europe from 2010 to 2013, then to the US in early 2014 to 2015. We are happy and proud to be one of a very first, original, specialized Microblading clinics in America with over 6000 happy clients from all over United States.

Eyelash Enhancement Care

Eyebrow Enhancement

What Is Eyelash Enhancement?

Eyelash Enhancement is meant to create the appearance of thicker eyelashes. This treatment adds color, thickness and definition to the lash line and enhances the eye area by making eyes look more defined. Some of the more common reasons to get eyelash enhancement include: asymmetrical eyes, eyes that are too small, aging eyes that are looking tired and wanting thicker eyelashes.

Our clients have many reasons for wanting eye procedures done and we want to correctly and accurately direct them to what is best for them. As experts we take into consideration facial asymmetry, aging process, color fading and color migration, just to name a few, in order to help our clients select the best shape and procedure for them.

For example; some clients prefer the eyeliner to be wedged and others like it domed, it will be up to us to direct our client to the best choice. Remember, when it comes to the eyes, its better to keep your procedures more conservative. This will help you look healthier, stay looking better, longer and produce fewer problems from your procedure in the future.

What Is Microblading?

Microblading: What exactly is it?

Eyebrow Microblading - What is MicrobladingEyebrow trends come and go and have changed through the decades. Our taste when it comes to how we want our eyebrows to look has evolved from very thin and rounded arches in the 1920’s, to arched and bushy in the 1950’s, to thick and natural in the 1980’s, and to somewhat bushy again in the early 2000’s.

The techniques how we get our eyebrows in shape have been changing too. There is, of course, plugging, but also waxing or threading. The latest trend in eyebrow design is called Microblading.

How Does It Work?

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow procedure. It is a new, superficial solution to sparse, over-plucked, over-waxed, and thinning eyebrows. It is a tattoo technique that fills brows out or reshapes them by drawing on tiny lines that look like individual hairs. It is ideal to cover scars and gaps, define shape, create an arch and fill in the brows.

“This is a perfect technique for people with thin hair or no hair because it looks so natural,” says Dina Richardson, owner of Brow Design By Dina.

This procedure is perfect for both men and women. Eyebrow Microblading is a way of implanting pigment under the epidermis using a specially designed fine blade that is three times thinner than the blade used in a machine. This allows for the creation of very fine, crisp, realistic hair strokes that do not blur after healing.

How long the results last depends on many factors including the thickness and oil levels of a person’s skin, how much they sweat and how humidity affects them. The results can last between one and three years, according to experts.

What Are The Advantages?

Having semi-permanent eyebrows is convenient and allows you to get ready faster in the mornings. If you have sensitive skin, you don’t have to worry about finding the right eyebrow make up that does not make you break out.

It also gets rid of the hassle of trying to fix your eyebrows while wearing glasses. Semi-permanent eyebrows can help cover up possible scars you may have in the area that may not allow brows to grow.

You will have perfect looking eyebrows every day and don’t have to worry about smears or makeup disappearing throughout the day even if during and active day outdoors or at the beach.

90s Eyebrows Trends

Do you have 90s eyebrows?

feather tattoo & 90s Eyebrow TrendsThe 1980s was big everything – big hair, big shoulder pads and yes even bushy big brows. But, in the 90s, the thin, low-arched eyebrows were all the craze and thus the bushy eyebrows were obliterated. A generation of women plucked their brows as thin as the style demanded. They created the perfect The 90s Eyebrow style. It wasn’t all that bad because the 2000s still enjoyed the thin brow until the end of the decade when a more natural shape began to surface again in popularity. Today, in the 2020s, the big, bush brows are back!

Did you pluck your eyebrows too much?

We’ve all been there in front of the mirror cleaning the eyebrow just a little bit….and then you realized that half the brow is gone. The good news is most people will only have to deal with the slow process of the brows growing back which could take up to six months. Unfortunately, some people plucked the brows so thin that they simply don’t seem to be growing back to today’s fashions. As we get older, the hair does thin and that includes the eyebrows. The good news is that there is Microblading.

Have you ever thought of microblading your eyebrows?

Microblading is a wonderful solutions for people who plucked their brows a little too much. Microblading is a new, revolutionary, semi permanent eyebrow procedure. It is performed by implanting pigment under the epidermis of the skin manually. This technique is done by pulling or swiping a manual pen and very fine blades across the skin to create one by one fine hair strokes. Microblading looks natural and is a wonderful solution for people who overplucked their brows. If you have overplucked or still have the 90s eyebrows style and would like to make a change, call Brow Design By Dina.

Sun Safety For Your Skin

Sun Safety For Your Skin

Sun is actually good for you because some some exposure helps to produce vitamin D which helps calcium absorption for stronger and healthier bones. However, the sun’s ultraviolet (UV) rays can cause damage to the eyes, skin, and even the immune system. The skin can be damaged by a sunburn and excessive UV light exposure that will not only prematurely age skin but also can lead to skin cancer. It is important to make sure that you know proper sun safety.

The Impact of Skin Tanning

The tanning of the skin is a response to UV light. When the UV rays reach the skin, the skin makes melanin. Melanin is the pigment, or color, that causes tanning to take place. It is important to understand that tanning does not prevent skin cancer. The melanin is the first defense that the skin has against the sun because it absorbs the dangerous UV rays. A sunburn develops when the amount of UV damage exceeds the protection that the skin’s melanin can provide. Proper sun safety can help to get enough sun to remain healthy.

Protecting the Skin Against The Sun’s Harmful Rays

The best way to protect the skin against the sun’s harmful rays is by limiting the exposure and by applying sunscreen and wearing protective eyewear. Make sure to choose a sunscreen that has a minimum of 15 SPF and apply it regularly to the skin. All skin types need protection from the UV rays. Even darker skin tones can have painful sunburns and get skin cancer from the sun’s rays.

What Is Hyperpigmentation?

What Is Hyperpigmentation?

HyperpigmentationHyperpigmentation is not necessarily a skin condition but a term that describes skin that appears darker. The darker color can occur on small patches, large areas and even affect the entire body. Increased skin pigmentation is not harmful, but it is important to determine if you are prone to hyperpigmentation before getting a permanent makeup treatment. Brow Design by Dina will help to determine this by searching the body for scars and other blemishes. These blemishes will help to show the skin pigment and whether it becomes darker in certain areas of the body.

Types of Hyperpigmentation

There are several types of hyperpigmentation but the most common include melasma, sunspots and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Melasma is considered to be caused by hormonal changes and may develop during pregnancy and can cause certain areas of the body to darken. Sunspots are very common and are caused by sun exposure over time. Post-inflammatory  is the result of an injury or inflamed skin. This can also be caused by acne.

A very important factor to remember is that when working with Fitzpatrick 3-6 there is the tendency for hyperpigmentation. Fitzpatrick skin type is a numerical classification system that uses physical features like skin tone, eye color and natural hair color to determine how much melanin is present in the skin. Skin type 3 gradually tans, sometimes has a mild burn.  Skin type 4 tans with ease and rarely burns. Skin type 5 tans very easily and very rarely burns.  Skin type 5 tas ver easily and never burns. Learn more HERE.   As the majority of clients do not know if they are prone to hyperpigmentation, it is necessary to search the body for scars or blemishes.

Due to darker healing results when working with hyperpigmentation, Brow Design By Dina will always choose a pigment 1-2 shades lighter than desired color to ensure the perfect color.

Halloween Eyebrows

Halloween EyebrowsHalloween is almost upon us, and that means it is time to start thinking about your outfit and all the necessary accessories. Makeup will be very important. We would like to give you some ideas on how you could spruce up your eyebrows to make them go with your Halloween costume.

Halloween Eyebrow Ideas

If you are thinking about embellishing your eyebrows for Halloween, you have a couple of options. From eyebrow powder to eyebrow pencils, to coloring your eyebrows in a wacky shade to match your outfit, the sky is the limit. When it comes to eyebrow shape, you need to know which direction you would like to go. You could go gothic with thick dark eyebrows, enhance the arch of your brows if you are going for the vampire look, or make them extra bushy.

If you want to conceal your eyebrows, do not pluck them. There is plenty of makeup out there you can use to hide or block them. If you want to completely conceal your brows, try using a washable, non-toxic glue stick. Apply the glue to your brows, and then brush them straight up. You may need one or two or even more layers of glue to make sure you cover all the hairs and they are all laying down. Once the glue is completely dry, use either an orange lipstick or orange concealer to cover your brows. That will help to cover up the dark color of your brows. If you have fair brows this step is not necessary for you. Next, comes the concealer. Make sure the lipstick is completely dry.  Use a brush to paint over the orange. Make sure to feather out the edges. Use a sponge next to cover up the concealer with your powder foundation. Press the power foundation all over the concealer. By now your brows should be completely blocked.

For a more dramatic look, you could even get latex eyebrows for an even more dramatic look. There are plenty of retailers online offering all kinds of products.

Find The Right Eyebrow Trends For You

Permanent Makeup and Microblading TrainingEyebrows help accentuate your eyes, shape your face and even play a rather important role in communication. Over plucked, unkempt or scarred eyebrows can make you look older and will make you appear less refined. Nobody is born with perfect eyebrows, that is why it is important to routinely trim and shape them and sometimes you will have to fill them in. If your eyebrows need some help and you want to cut down a little bit on the maintenance time of your eyebrows, microblading is the perfect procedure for you. Microblading is a tattoo technique that will give you beautiful natural looking eyebrows. There are several eyebrow trends you should know about before getting your eyebrows done.

What Are The Latest Trends?

Just like fashion trends and beauty  standards change over time, so do eyebrow trends. Soft and more naturally looking brows appear to replace bold and overly-defined eyebrows. Just because they are softer looking does not mean they appear sparse. Another trend are darker  eyebrows that appear a little grown out. The so-called feather look, a naturally fuller looking shape, is also very popular right now.

Choose Dina For Your Brows

Not only does Dina know about the latest trends, she will always find the right eyebrow shape that fits your face and your style. Dina has been involved in art for many years, with her emphasis on portraits for many years. She has an excellent eye for facial features, bone structure and artistic beauty.  Take a look at Dina’s amazing portfolio: https://browdesignbydina.com/photos/

Look Your Best Coming Out Of Quarantine

Qarantine

Most places now have started the reopening process and most of us are coming out of quarantine, shall we say looking a little shaggy. A lot has changed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic from mask requirements to social distancing measures. We don’t know yet what the new normal will exactly look like, but we do know, no matter what happens next, we still all want to look our very best. Dina wants to make sure you get your look back or even improve your appearance after quarantine. People say your eyes are the windows to your soul. If that is true, then one could say your brows are your eyes’ frames. If you want perfectly shaped eyebrows every day, consider Microblading. This semi-permanent procedure will give you the eyebrows you always wanted and, best of all, they will stay looking like that for years.

What Dina Can Do For Your Brows After Quarantine

During quarantine, you either let your brows go and now they completely lost their shape, or you over-plucked them. Now is the perfect time to get Microblading done. This a new, superficial solution to sparse, over-plucked, over-waxed, and thinning eyebrows. Microblading is ideal to cover scars and gaps, define shape, create an arch and fill in the brows. The procedure allows people with little or no brow hairs to have beautiful natural looking eyebrows.
